Addie's party is in a couple of weeks and I just finished her birthday banner. She was very excited for it to be completed. If ever I wasn't working on it, she would ask me "Why aren't you working on my birthday thing?" Crimony, a girls gotta eat, ya know? She even went so far as to bring down all the fabric and supplies and set them on the table next to me - not such a subtle hint. It's done now, so it's time to start Eli's. I'm going to kick myself for throwing the twins separate parties. Eli wants his to be "lightning" themed, not flash or Lightning McQueen, just lightning. Any suggestions for a lightning party?

I want to have a cupcake party for my 35th (that's this year), so I will put in an order for one of those adorable banners. You have time, don't you?
How about lightning bugs? Oh. Wait. Is this really ME giving YOU party suggestions? Love the banner you little projectaholic!
I love looking at your creative blog. It is so inspiring...even for a person who can't create a thing! I figure there has to be someone in the world who can truly appreciate the creative people! Have you ever seen the website www.funpartycakes.com? I just found it through a random link and it reminded me so much of your blog! (I didn't check to see if they had any ideas for "lightning" cakes!) (Oh, and my sister Emily passed along your blog address...she loves you!)
what a beautiful banner!! I am doing my daughters 1st birthday in a cupcake theme this July..I'd love to make her a banner like that but was wondering how you came up with the lettering? Did you have a template? The font is so cute! Look out Martha Stewart...you're cakes are amazing!
